Buka opened in Espoo in 2021. The idea was simple: bring a restaurant to Espoo that cooks its meat the way it has always been cooked: over the fire of a charcoal grill and the low heat of a stone oven.
Stone ovens and charcoal grills are rare in Espoo. Buka is the only restaurant that uses both — the food is cooked the right way, slowly, without shortcuts.
"We put our heart on every dish we serve. We aim to stay true to the original taste of traditional recipes. Most of our dishes are stone-baked or flame-grilled."
At lunch you taste what it means to braise a beef cheek for sixteen hours in a stone oven. At dinner the à la carte runs to entrecôte, sirloin and beef cheek. Each time the same idea: every plate should feel like care went into it.
Buka is a neighborhood restaurant, the kind people come back to. Thank you for being here.
